Looking for great New York booooooobs

I remember watching these Keith Haring bits on Sesame Street when I was little and thinking they were bizarre, but cool, and I was completely unaware of their greater context (obviously — we’re talking about toddler times here). It wasn’t until I saw some of his art on a teacher’s wall in high school that I even realized that the artist wasn’t just some in-house animator at Sesame Workshop but was actually a renowned (and by that point, dead by AIDS) artist from the 80s. 

I’m sure if he were alive and these videos were still being run on Sesame Street we’d be having congressional hearings about defunding public broadcasting for turning kids gay or some crap like that, instead of what it was: using vivid colors and unusual music to subtly introduce kids to contemporary art. It’s a shame.
